6:1There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men:
6:2A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.
6:2就是人蒙 神賜他貲財、豐富、尊榮、以致他心裡所願的一樣都不缺、只是 神使他不能喫用、反有外人來喫用.這是虛空、也是禍患。
6:2就是人蒙神赐他赀财,丰富,尊荣,以致他心里所愿的一样都不缺,只是神使他不能吃用,反有外人来吃用。这是虚空,也是祸患。
job:21:7Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?
job:21:8Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.
job:21:9Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.
job:21:10Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.
job:21:11They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.
job:21:12They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.
job:21:13They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.
psm:17:14From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
psm:73:7Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.

6:3If a man beget an hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he.
6:4For he cometh in with vanity, and departeth in darkness, and his name shall be covered with darkness.
6:5Moreover he hath not seen the sun, nor known any thing: this hath more rest than the other.
6:6Yea, though he live a thousand years twice told, yet hath he seen no good: do not all go to one place?
6:7All the labour of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.
6:8For what hath the wise more than the fool? what hath the poor, that knoweth to walk before the living?
6:9Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
6:10That which hath been is named already, and it is known that it is man: neither may he contend with him that is mightier than he.
6:11Seeing there be many things that increase vanity, what is man the better?
6:12For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?
