Thessalonians-2 : The Second Letter of Paul to the Thessalonians
Chapter 1 2 3
2:1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2:2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2:3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2:4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
dan:8:25And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
dan:11:36And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
1co:8:5For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
act:17:23For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
isa:14:13For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
isa:14:14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
eze:28:2Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

2:5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2:6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
2:7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
2:8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2:9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2:10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2:13But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
2:14Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2:15Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
2:16Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
2:17Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
