14:1And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.
14:2But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.
14:3Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
14:4But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.
14:5And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,
14:6They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:
14:7And there they preached the gospel.
14:8And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:
14:9The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
14:10Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
14:11And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.
14:12And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.
14:13Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
14:14Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,
14:15And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
14:15諸君、為甚麼作這事呢.我們也是人、性情和你們一樣.我們傳福音給你們、是叫你們離棄這些虛妄、歸向那創造天、地、海、和其中萬物的永生 神。
14:15诸君,为什么作这事呢。我们也是人,性情和你们一样。我们传福音给你们,是叫你们离弃这些虚妄,归向那创造天,地,海,和其中万物的永生神。
act:10:26But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
rev:19:10And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
jas:5:17Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
deu:32:21They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
1sa:12:21And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.
jer:14:22Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things.
amo:2:4Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked:
luk:1:16And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.
act:15:3And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
act:15:19Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
act:26:18To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
act:26:20But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
1ts:1:9For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
exo:20:11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
psm:146:6Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:
act:17:24God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
rev:14:7Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
mat:16:16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

14:16Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
14:17Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
14:18And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.
14:19And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.
14:20Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
14:21And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
14:22Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
14:23And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
14:24And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.
14:25And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia:
14:26And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.
14:27And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
14:28And there they abode long time with the disciples.
