Timothy-2 : The Second Letter of Paul to the Timothy
Chapter 1 2 3 4
1:1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
1:2To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
1:3I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
1:3我感謝 神、就是我接續祖先、用清潔的良心所事奉的 神、祈禱的時候、不住的想念你、
1:3我感谢神,就是我接续祖先,用清洁的良心所事奉的神,祈祷的时候,不住的想念你,
rom:1:8First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
mon:1:4I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,
gal:1:14And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
1ti:1:5Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
1ti:5:22Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.
act:23:1And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.
1ti:3:9Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
act:24:14But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
rom:1:9For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
phl:1:8For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
COBL
1:4Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;
1:5When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
1:6Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
1:7For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
1:8Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
1:9Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
1:10But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
1:11Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
1:12For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
1:13Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
1:14That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.
1:15This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
1:16The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:
1:17But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.
1:18The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.
