10:1Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
10:2But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
10:3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
10:4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

eph:6:11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
eph:6:12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
eph:6:13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
eph:6:14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
eph:6:15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
eph:6:16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
eph:6:17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
1ts:5:8But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
rom:15:18For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,
1co:2:5That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
2co:4:7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
2co:13:3Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.
2co:13:4For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.

10:5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
10:6And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
10:7Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.
10:8For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:
10:9That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.
10:10For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.
10:11Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.
10:12For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
10:13But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
10:14For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:
10:15Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,
10:16To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man's line of things made ready to our hand.
10:17But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
10:18For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
